|
All
students (even those for whom attendance is optional) must report
to classes during first week of classes. Students will lose
their place in some science laboratory classes if they do not
attend the first class meeting.
Except for students who have earned fewer than 15 credits, the
limitations on class cuts were removed in 1969. This does not
preclude the keeping of attendance records by instructors, nor
can absence from class be offered as an excuse for not fulfilling
all requirements for passing a course. In cases where class
participation is necessary to evaluate progress, students must
attend class regularly. Attendance as a course requirement is
always the prerogative of the instructor.
Students who have earned fewer than 15 credits
of college-level work are limited in the number of cuts they
may take in a course without loss of credit:
1-credit course ------ 2 hours of cuts
2-credit course ------ 4 hours of cuts
3-credit course ------ 6 hours of cuts
4-credit course ------ 6 hours of cuts (equal to 1 lab period
and lecture.)
